The artist values biodiversity for environmental reasons as well as aesthetic ones. Greenhouses function as a kind of sanctuary, with spiritual and therapeutic benefits. San Antonio is her hometown and these gardens have a special significance. She conveys its humid atmosphere and exuberant energy using bold colors and gestural brushstrokes.
